There is no great artistry in improving the storage conditions for refrigerated and frozen products and simultaneously reduce energy consumption. The challenge lies in doing it in such a way so that customers continue to have easy access to the products. In other words, the permanent covers must not result in fewer products being sold in the shop – quite the contrary.

KEEP COOL® is the only sliding glass cover on the market, which makes close, side-by-side self-service possible – just like an open gondola. This is because the glass covers slide across the gondola. This unique and patented device makes it possible for all glass covers to be opened at the same time. And this is regardless of whether the gondola has access from both sides (ordinary gondolas) or only from the one side (end gondolas and wall gondolas).

KEEP COOL® is available in two variations, Curve and Plane, with curved and flat glass. Only the design separates the covers from each other, the function is exactly the same. Read more about both systems via the menu to the left.

In addition to the ergonomically appropriate (transverse) operation of KEEP COOL®, the tempered sliding glass is fitted with “slide shoes” in friction-weak material. The result is a particularly easy sliding glass cover, which is easily operated by the shop customers. The personnel also have the possibility of opening several or all glass covers simultaneously as needed during refilling and cleaning.

KEEP COOL® is tailored to the individual gondola depending on width, length and other individual conditions. This ensures a perfect “fit” and usability. With construction pillars or pipe down-leads in the gondola, KEEP COOL® is adapted according to the conditions.

Less energy consumption and greater environmental responsibility

It is less energy-demanding to maintain the intended temperature in the gondola due to the cold/warm separation and the reduced need for defrosting. Permanent coverage with KEEP COOL® has a savings potential of up to 50% of the energy consumption in a corresponding open gondola. Added to this is considerable savings in the heating of the shop in colder periods during the year.

KEEP COOL® releases 40% to 50% compressor capacity, which means that a potential expansion of the sales area could be established with a correspondingly smaller capacity investment.

By focusing on energy saving options, not only cheaper operation is achieved. It also sends a positive signal to the rest of the world about an active co-responsibility for the environment.

Please note: To realise the energy saving potential, making the correct technical adjustment of the gondolas is a pre-condition, including any adjustment of the compressor capacity. Therefore, it is particularly important that the refrigeration serviceman follow the instructions for the technical adjustment precisely and that he be involved at an early point in the question about the compressor capacity.
